i get a "broken crypto" icon on the forum main page (well, for me that's the "search results" page since i link directly to "new posts" in my bookmark) at presnet. when viewing threads, however, the SSL indicator appears fine. anyone else seeing this?

i'll try later to mess with settings and isolate what elements mozilla thinks are not being encrypted.

I don't see that. Can you provide screen shots?

Are you using a proxy of any sort, including a caching proxy?

Do you have any extra plugins that don't come with the browser? Can you verify that this problem appears when you don't have any plugins installed?

Were the DefCon Forums that only site you were viewing in your browser? If there were other ones, especially if they use SSL as well, then this is a bug in firefox... If it was just the forums open, then it's most likely something else.

Email confirmation was broken for a while. It looks like it is working again. If you tried to register with the forums over the past few days, and never received your email confirmation, we can do it manually. Email defconforums andatsymbolhere gmail.com fro the email address you used to register with the forums, and we can manually validate your email address.

The same waiting period and rules will apply as with other users, but the waiting period starts from the day and time that you first registered with the forums.
