  • alternative solution?

I'm having a problem with the task manager, it doesnt open, i think a virus might have disabled it... anyway I got rid of the virus, but now I can't even get gpedit.msc working so I can't go that way to enable taskmanager. Does anyone now an alternative way to fix it, maybe in command line? Thanks.
    I think, therefore i exist.

reinstall your O/S. if you're a responsible user who plans ahead, your personal data will all be backed up and you'll have copies of all your drivers and installation executables so it shouldn't take you more than an hour or two, depending on the speed of your system. this isn't a tech support forum, but even so... the only real tech support answer i give when a windows box has been ravaged by a virus is to wipe it and re-install. that O/S family chooses such ridiculous places to put critical files and settings... it's almost not worth your time and headache to find which instance of some bullshit .dll or unknown registry key has been corrupted.
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

And while we're at it, the Task Manager is a piece of shit itself that needed to die long ago. If you really need a GUI onto Windows processes, use Process Explorer. All the info that Task Manager doesn't give you and more.

That was my daily tech support good deed of the day. Now back to being an asshole.
