We just got an e-mail where someone was asking about some sort of debate between "someone from your organization and the religious right, moderated by a Catholic Priest."

Of course, they were confused about "defcon"

In addition to a new video game called "Defcon" being made, there is another group that uses the name "DefCon" from "DEFending the CONstitution" and their site is here:
www (a dot) defconamerica (a dot) org

Don't Be a Slacker, DEFCON 15 WANTS YOU!
Starting March 1st we will be opening the call for papers for DEFCON 15 - the annual gathering of subversive computer folks.

Earlier submissions are given higher priority, so prepare your best kung-foo, and send it our way. Remember, we are always looking for original and highly technical content, unusual subject matters, software releases, innovative hardware hacking, and generally mind-blowing content. Check out past convention archives to get an idea of what we are talking about.

Once the date is closer there will be more specifics.. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

The Saint Johnsbury Academy is to host DEFCON 15, a popular underground hacking conference. DEFCON 14 was held August 4-6 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. But this year the founders of DEFCON wanted a change, and contacted the private highschool about hosting the conference.

Heh-heh. Maybe I should not shine a light on that article though-- it may cause people to actually visit it.
