    Details at http://public.peertech.org/dc14/

    The exact monetary value of the prize will be at least $200 and we are also offering part of our own personal hardware minus disk drives. (hacking for pink slips *grin*)
    The total prize thus consists of at least the following:

    * Minimum $200 in cash
    * Yellow Pelican 1500 case
    * One VIA C5P Mini-ITX mainboard [1]
    * Atheros mini-PCI 802.11a/g with PCI adapter
    * 200mW Teletronics/Senao PCMCIA 802.11b card

    1. The mini-itx mainboard includes Padlock cryptography engine with two hardware entropy sources, AES acceleration via XCRYPT, 1Ghz CPU, CardBus slot, compact flash port, LVDS port, S/PDIF dolby 5.1 audio, S-Video, USB and Firewire ports on board, 100Mbps ethernet, the usual PS2/VGA KVM, DDR memory, and 200W 12V DC power supply. Some external cables for additional USB/Firewire/Serial ports may be missing. 12V AC adapter for DC power supply may or may not be included.

    The challenge will begin at 12:00 noon on Thursday 3-aug-2006 when Pre-Con registration opens. It will continue non stop 24/7 until the start of closing ceremony on Sunday 6-aug-2006. There may be brief outages if moving the contest equipment is required during the challenge.

    NOTE: This is NOT an official DefCon contest. Please don't pester the goons or other staff about this challenge or expect a black badge as part of the prize compensation.
