    Defcon Radio

    Howdy y'all,
Well good new & bad news...Good news, we are moving, bad news, we are moving.

I will not be able to make it to con this year and as such there will not be a radio! If there are any broadcasters, daily news zelots, defcon sluts who are interested in getting the ground work together to keep a broadcast up I would be happy to share thoughts, ideas and bandwidth (lots and lots).

I have a campware livesupport server for running the actual show, so all you need is a way to record and upload the content you wish to schedule and pick up some transmission equipment from freeradio.org :)

If there is any interest I'll share some thoughts i've had over the years of running this about the ways to minimize your risk of losing equipment (you can lose stuff if the feds don't like you:|

Let me know if anyone wishes to pick up the torch!!

You know, now that i've started posting...defcon radio has always been intended to take the idea of high tech and fuse it with broadcasting. There is no reason why thousands of independents can use today's tools to build an international broadcasting network (why let clearchannel have all the fun).

So take this chance to experiment with broadcasting and then bring it home but keep it connected. And those who aren't able to actually be there, bring your events there since we can all contribute from no matter where we actually are!

      Thoughts, comments?
