This question often comes up with more popular contests that mave a upper limit:
Will there be an "alternate list" for people to signup in case someone on the list does not show up?
And related:
Is there a time and place to meet, such that, not showing up by a specific time at this location, the reserved spot is released to an alternate?

I just counted and we have just over 100 people signed up. If I'm not mistaken we were told we had room for 25 or so... Well seeing that we are 4 times over our limit, we will not be letting in alternates due to already having too many people. but if your team is down a man and you want someone to fill it. you can always try bribing the judges/contest runners with anything you think they'll like.
