Re: Kenshoto video torrent or tracklisting?

Just to warn everybody I'm seeding but I do Pop in and out (mostly on Tuesday and Thursday about 2PM - 11PM Arizona time and Saturday mornings). This is due to my school schedule and not having any other boxes set up at the moment besides my laptop. Plus all the data is on an external drive that needs a rest every once and a while. (I can't exactly afford much else right now)

i just did a test and started a brand new pull of the DC14 filler torrent on a residential PC and it immediately saw 6 seeds and started downloading at just over 60 KB/sec (looks like i'm getting 20 KB/s from three of them an a trickle from two of the others)

now that we've got that all solid and sorted out, maybe someone can prod along brother Bink so that we might have whatever was recorded from this year's DJ action / B&W ball / minibosses sets.

ah ha! I incorrectly labelled this current torrent as the DC13 filler .. I didn't realize the added content! Will update stuffs asap. TheCotMan is correct, Deviant's current filler torrent that appears to be chugging along fine .. has a tracker at thepiratebay.org. If your tracker is showing elsewise, you may have the wrong torrent, or a modified torrent.

I still only have approximately 76% confidence in my current setup. At times my bandwidth will be saturated with seeds, while others (like now) I only have one or two folks connecting but they are limited to something insanely low like 2-5KB/s.. for no good reason. I'm growingly suspicious of my firewall rules.. but they were set up as very basic rules and the only variable that has changed since proper functionality is the client end.. *scratches head*

Mucho thanks to all that are seeding these along for extended periods. Here's what my tracker shows since I last restarted it (2006.10.19):

CoWF Hash Tables (29 complete) with 4 seeds and 3 peers atm
    Defcon 14 ISO (5 complete)
Defcon 13 Audio (4 complete, trumping video.. odd consdering that video was inversley as popular when it first started)
Blackhat ISOs at 4 complete each for 2004/2005, with 2006 champing at 8 complete
Blackhat audio/video runs in at 5 and 6 complete respectively
Haxxxor Vol 1 still maintains more downloads than CoWF Warglue Decommission, but not by much (numbers purposefully left out)
All others have 1-2 completed, but seem to be less interesting to folks. It took a while for someone to take interest in the Mezonic Agenda, while 3 completed the download of the DC10 CTF image (this is the vmware image blue team received to defend, for those that haven't figured out)

    DC13 filler torrent != dc14 filler torrent.
AHA! OK, thanks for the clarification. I went back a couple of pages in this thread and found the new filler torrent. All appears to be well.

I'll be seeding the various BH & DC torrents for the forseeable future. My U/L speed is so limited that it may not be of great use, but I will keep it going.

    Thanks again.

I have a box that's pretty much constantly seeding the cowf, bh2006, dc14, and dc_filler, and it will continue doing so until...well, as long as I still see activity every couple of days. However, my client tells me no information is avaliable on seeders/leachers for the dc_filler, which leads me to believe that no-one else is seeding/downloading, which seems wrong in comparison to the past couple of posts on this thread...even after restarting things on my end.

converge and i have been seeding for quite a while now, 24/7. even now, i see three full seeders online and two peers who aren't connecting to me (whether this is due to their being completed or some tracker weirdness i do not know).

i know that my machine is, in fact, configured as connectable from the outside so that can't be the issue. maybe other seeds have that difficulty.
I've been seeding too, but mine is definitely intermittent. I'm having some problems with the desktop at home and not being there is a major PITA as far as keeping it running.

oh, that's right... i didn't notice that in the original post. no one really needs to download the DC13 filler, anyway, since it's almost all part of the DC14 content. i took all the old (DC13 and prior) material, discarded the few clips that were either hopelessly corrupted or not worthwhile content (do we really need to see jason alexander's fat ass talking about the greatness of mcdonald's hamburgers?), then reencoded all the remaining ones into proper formats (no more WMVs, etc)

added to this were a ton of new items, many of which were put together to complete partial archives (like the edited GI Joe clips) so by getting the DC14 filler (the torrent for which is still running fine) you get the improved and cleaned up DC13 filler plus much more.

OK thanks for the input. I'll see what I can figure out on this side.

I'm now getting the message "Connection Error (ConnectException:Connection refused)". This is regarding the tracker "ibaku.net:8082".

I am getting a good connection on the DHT. So if the seeds are using DHT then I should be able to find them.

Thanks again for the help. Unfortunately I have to do real work today, but I should be able to get back on this problem tonight.

I'm on a cable modem with only 384K upload speed, but I generally keep it running 24/7 with Bitorrent seeding a bunch of stuff. It's a great use for an old laptop with a broken screen. Silent, low power, etc.

    Thanks!

... if you already have the files, point to their current directory as your download destination and you'll start to seed right away (or, after the few minutes it takes to do a hash-check)

if you want to download, be patient... this is likely going to make my few connections totally assplode until we get a few completed clients up and running elsewhere.

So this morning I restarted my tracker thinking it may be some funkiness going on ... but have not seen a change. I inadvertantly left out tracking of the old torrent, so this was not the issue; still no seeds beside myself, same 3 peers slowly progressing but barely touching me.

This follows much success of the new tracker/client setup on my box .. so I'm not sure of the catalyst (or lack of) in this.
I'm seeing about 5-10Kbps downloads with occasional spikes to 30 or so. Generally it goes on for a few minutes or an hour or so...then it stops because there isn't anything else available to download. So it sits there and waits... uploads are much faster, higher than 50Kbps if I don't limit it.

Pretty much the same results here.
