Most people probably know about this, but I thought I would post it just in case.
Microsoft has released a free development enviroment, mostly for making Xbox games, based on Microsofts .net language C#. There are tutorial videos, provided by microsoft to get the hang of it. It's sort of an extention of Microsofts line of free "express" dev kits, for languages such as J#, C++, and VB.
I thought this was a win cause I wouldnt realy think of Micro$oft as being the guys to do somthing like this.
Its called XNA and is only in the BETA, found here : http://msdn.microsoft.com/directx/XNA/default.aspx
