Defcon Calendar
It has come to my attention that there are 3 calendars runnin around. There is one here, one on the website, and I forget the other... the point is..... They are not always up to date and sometimes mostly blank. I have a bit of obsessiveness when it comes to that kind of thing. So I made a google one, gathering as much interesting stuff to fill into a calendar as possible. It includes lots and lots of entries for meetings, cfp deadlines, other cons, stuff we may care about, etc. I also made a smaller one for BlackHat because we have plenty of shows, deadlines, and cfps you can submit to as well.
These can be updated so you can mail me to add stuff, or if you are so approved i can give you permissions to make changes on your own free will ( you will have to be known and vouched for as responsible and not an asshat to get access ) I am also not offended at the idea of adding local get togethers for example: Say that "madeup hacker group" in the "123" area code are planning a meet and great bbq on "random day" all are welcome. That would be acceptable, however' Keg rager at steves on sat. Not acceptable. I would like to hear your ideas and suggestions. If there is something you would like to see, if you have an idea about where this calander should be? If it gets pulled into the forums and the others are deleted, visa versa or whatever you think. Also please keep in mind i am not trying to step on anyones toes as far as the calendar is concerned however my intent is to make ONE offical calendar, well maintained, widely available and useful. spread the word, ya know.
