Scanner darkly I want to see this, it looks amazing.

Excellent "drug movie", interesting style, and very faithful to the original story (if you are a fan). While it is true that technology plays a minor role in the film, it's set in the very near future so everything is going to seem quite familiar. The exception is the scramble suit, but even then it functions more as a physical manifestation of the loss of idenitfy than a "cool-gotta'-have-it" toy.

Some might say that social engineering plays a big part, but I couldn't elaborate without ruining it for anyone that hasn't seen the film.
