what does the "u" represent in chmod u+x ?
out of my travels through linux, nothing has ever bothered to explain this...

upon telling gimpsta about posting the question, he ask me if i had checked the chmod man page....
of course i did... but it wasnt in there; so i just went back in to reaffirm myself
lo and behold.. a perfect explanation
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.
