  • LayerOne 2007 - Speaker Lineup Announced

After months of searching, here's the best we could come up with. Just kidding. I think this year's lineup is going to rock. Of particular note are several Defcon folks that will be speaking this year.

Defcon organizers Major Malfunction and Zac Franken will both be speaking. This year Major will be deconstructing RFID. Zac will be teaching you how you can bypass physical access control systems with a device that costs under 5 bucks. I've been sworn to secrecy, but let me say, its pretty fucking cool.

Finally, Defcon forum member jur1st will be speaking about technology and law.

In addition to all this, we have a fantastic lineup for you. Also, pre-registration has been extended to the end of April. Actually it was always the end of April, but a typo on my part said it ended on March 31st. So now I'm going to act like I'm doing everyone a favor.

Major's shmoocon RFID presentation was slick. If he does even half as good out at LayerOne, you're in for quite a treat.

Speaking of shmoocon, noid, we missed you at Deviant's little get together. Being on the short track, it went quick, but I had people walking up and asking gun related questions over the course of the whole conference.

If I wasn't working that weekend, and if my job paid for it, and if my wife approved it ;) I'd go, but alas I cannot. There is always next year...
