  • Slurpr - Open wireless aggregator

This thing automatically aggregates as many open wireless networks as it can find and makes them accessible via a wired connection:

I have yet to see anyone post a legitimate use for this product.

      There is'nt one.

Unless you have a disperse wifi network you own and use.

The claims of how well it might work seem to be <cough bullshit! cough> exaggerated. The WiFi channel space is rather crowded, and I suspect that it might do more to generate RFI than it would to aggregate bandwidth.

It might make a dandy little jammer though.

It would seem to me that it might also be a problem with routing, although I'll admit that I might be wrong there.

No I think your right and I agree with you. If I remember you can get upto 3 channels that don't overlap - That's going by the channels allowed in the UK. The price is a little high too. I'd rather use a number of of wifi cards in an attempt to pinpoint a wifi source instead.

One does have to admit, that aside from the legal and moral issues, it's an interesting project.

My thoughts exactly. Living in the area where I do, it would be very interesting to play around with this. Can you imagine running WireShark or Driftnet on this bad boy!

If you aggregate the wireless connections, must you also aggregate the values for mean time to goatse?

Is that with or without Streaker present? Obviously whether or not he is in the vicinity makes a significant impact on the mean time to goatse.
