Is anyone with transportation planning to meet up and share rides? Is this feasible? I'm not sure, but I may be coming from Caesar's Palace.. or might just bring my bag to the BBQ.

Last year, it worked kind of like this...
There were two "organized" times for the TBBQ. The first time included people meeting at an announced location and announced time (with signs posted on thursday) to go on the Food Run. The original time was changed, and the signs were updated. Then, a small group (5 to 7 cars, packed to their max legal occupancy) headed over to get food at Sam's Club.

Signs also suggested a meeting time and location for the second group of people wanting to go to the TBBQ. Some people drove their cars and brought other people with them, and other people yelled out their intentions to get a cab and shared cab rides to the Toxic BBQ.

The organizers of this event have not announced the location of the Toxic BBQ, or set the times for the pre-TBBQ food round-up, and when the BBQ is expected to start.

However, the meeting location for ridesharing (hooking up those with transportation to those without, and failover to cab-sharing) will probably be in the same location as last year. It let us stage cars in a loading zone with minimal inconvenience, had bathrooms located nearby, and worked on many levels.

See the space to the top-right corner of the parking garage on that map?
There are doors there to a space near where badges were sold last year.
You can see the bathrooms nearby, and there are steps there for gathering lots of people.
Also, you can see the white strip, left to right starting at the text "Convention Center Entrance" and that is a road with opportunity to park 15 to 20 cars for loading people, or callig a cab for pickup.

I don't know why I didn't think about this earlier but here is my offer/idea:

I work for Penske (actually I manage the closest one to Sunset Park) needless to say that I am sure we could make use of one of the Box trucks. I will probably be using one as it is, but if anyone needed to rent one for the BBQ or even the Con, I am willing to offer low price to rent one.
