    I guess I should have gotten this sooner. Hopefully someone will have mobile communications as there are 2 Brooklawn Diners according to google. Please specify as I'm headed in that direction. Poor planning on my part.

    Just because you can doesn't mean you should. This applies to making babies, hacking, and youtube videos.

        Yeah, if the next turnout isn't much better maybe we should just start meeting at peoples houses and actually working on projects.

          Sorry to necro the thread

          If anyone who worked on this is still interested in a Hackerspace in NJ, I'd love to hear from you. I've been working with a group in New Brunswick, NJ to start a hackerspace up there. We're not really ready to get a space yet, but we've been having meetings and events for a few months now.

            Did you look at the title of the thread before you "necro'd" it?

            New Brunswick != South Jersey

            Distant wise, it's like me posting in a thread for a "Baltimore Hackerspace" that we're having one up here in Philly.

              Well, plenty of people from my area make the trek all the way up to Brooklyn to go to NYC Resistor. Most of the places mentioned in this thread are in the Camden/Philly 'burbs, only about an hour south of New Brunswick on the pike. It's not like you were planning to start up a space in Cape May or AC. In any case, we're just starting to put together our paperwork for incorporation, which is state-specific, and I was interested in hearing whether or not this group had made any progress in that area.

                Well, I guess that makes the people from your area special or something? Yay for you? Cookie Time?

                So instead of creating a new thread on the topic, dealing specifically with it.. ie: a title of "New Brunswick, NJ Hackerspace". You resurrect an old thread from 2007? One that isn't even on topic. And make people like me waste my fucking time by viewing a post about a hacker space too far north....

                Next time, make a new thread, and save us all the hassle..... bitch.

                  http://www.hive76.org/ is in Philly proper. Can't speak for the group, haven't paid a visit yet.

                  Highwiz is correct, New Brunswick is easily an hour north. Also, New York is like New York(this is this), people will travel there because it's cool, and it's New York.

                    There aren't very many that I know of in the Baltimore area, and Jersey isnt that far away. If you guys wouldn't mind, would it be okay for some of us to drop by every once in a while when we get time?

                          As I said, and you copied, that "I" know of. I spend most of my time working on school, and when I checked the DC forum, the baltimore one went to a dead link. Since I travel through NJ a lot, I figured stopping by sometime would be an easy task to add into my schedule.

                            The link theprez posted worked...

                            Unless you're talking about a DCG and not a hackerspace.
