Is it feasible for the DefCon goons to visit and organize a convention on one of the DCGroup Internationals? Or its really just on Vegas or some part in the US.

Defcon (the convention) has only been in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Defcon Groups have meetings all around the world.

Some Defcon Groups have meetings run by goons, or attended by goons.

Defcon Group meetings are not *the* Defcon convention, but can have speakers, and more.

The above is what has happened.

Presently, the official FAQ has wording that suggests location may not always be Las Vegas. I think the "generally" refers to the day/month not the location.

When and where is DEFCON?

DEFCON is generally in the last week of July or first week of August in Las Vegas. DEFCON 14 will be held August 4-6 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Many people arrive a day early, and many stay a day later.

For an authoritative answer on what is planned for the future, you'd have to hear from DT. (I can only help with the past.)

I have taken the time to visit International groups when I have the time.

I like the one in Penang Malaysia.

I will be in the Philippines for all of December, but will be at my home in Rizal, and not near Cebu at all.

But have fun... with the new DCG.

Two Defcons ago there was an attempt to gather all the DCG into one room and powow. It was a typical small meet-greet with notable entry of Grifter, speaking on behalf of DT who was otherwise preoccupied at the time the meeting went down. There was a call to arms issued, with the offer of support and backing for projects and ideas that the various DCG wanted to undertake.

... here we are approaching two years later with the majority of DCG (at least in the states) seeming to be at a cooled slumber. Not sure that it entirely fits the topic, but figured this was as good of a place as any to bring it up before I forget for another several months.

/me digs dirt up, or something.

Maybe you all need a DCG Czar to followup, motivate, and enumerate over ideas.
