I usually dual boot Windows XP and Redhat 8.0. I was using grub as my boot loader. I uninstalled the Redhat partition using Partition magic so I could put in slackware. I didnt install slackware right away but reset my comp and I come to a command line prompt that I believe is the grub boot loader (Screen shows "grub>") I dont know how to load windows from this since I know no grub command line. Could someone please help?

Third down in a Google search for 'grub command'.
Please don't try to tell us you put any effort whatsoever into this. -

reset MBR to windows linking "fdisk /mbr"
also, if you are putting slackware on it, why not just boot to the slack disk and install? Then you can load lilo from there, and have your XP and Linux dual boot?"Never Underestimate the Power of Stupid People in Large Groups"Comment

If you have dialup, I would be willing to compress the images I have for 9.1 into managable size files; just PM me. Slack's cool, but I reccomend Debian. I just can't get over apt-get, and have not fooled around with slapt-get yet. I could even mail some cds to you, for about $3.00 via paypal to cover costs.Virtutis gloria mercesComment

apt-get trembles before the mighty EMERGE!!!!!
but, the gentoo install is a tad more tricky....do what your heart tells you...listen to that little voice inside telling you what distro thy shall choose.

Blah blah blah...my distro has more wang than your distro, blah blah blah, package manager blah blah blah.Originally posted by EeeekPenguinsI knew there was someone waiting in my bushes to pick me off if I picked the wrong distro. Now which one of you is it?
READ THIS BEFORE POSTING HERE--------v
If anyone posts a "my distro is better than your distro" bullshit post on this thread again while it is open...I am gonna ban em.
There is no such thing as a best distro. There is no such thing as a secure OS. Work/use what you feel comfortable with. If you have a reason for liking a specific OS then use it. Jesus....do you really think it matters to anyone else what you use?
Note: this is not in regards to any of the previous posts in this thread...this is an attempt to head ignorant Distro cock size comparisons off at the pass.perl -e 'print pack(c5, (41*2), sqrt(7056), (unpack(c,H)-2), oct(115), 10)'Comment

I'am confused. Can we not talk about cocks or distros, or both? The penguin is watching.
