4th Annual theSummit @ Defcon 16

ALL AGES EVENT

What: theSummit EFF/THF Fund Raiser
When: Thursday Auguest 7th, 2008
Time: 9:00PM PDT
Where: TBD (Either the Skyboxes OR Top of the Riv)
Why: Raise money for the EFF and The Hacker Foundation
Swag: Door busters and raffle Prizes (shirts, computers, mugs, shot glasses, contest hints, etc)
BEER: This year we will have the beer situation fixed, and will be offering FREE BOOZE for first 2 hours of event. (With valid ID - 21+ only; free non-alcoholic beverage will be offered as well)

We plan to have 50+ featured guests from the hacker community. Past guest have been Defcon/Blackhat speakers, high profile hacker, Security Book writers.

My understanding is the Riv is coming down hard on alcohol involved events, and I know we were talking about that..can you scout it out a bit or talk with some folks to see if we are still on?

Dallas, I am in contact with some people from DEF CON that are assisting with beer issue at Top of the Riv. Hopefully a good resolution will be in sight soon

Attempts to reach Hackajar by email have resulted in failure to deliver email due to DNS failure. If he appears online in chat, I can bug him about both the web site, and dns/email.
