Get Prepared for DAVIX Visualization Workshop

For you to be able to participate in the analysis part of the workshop, you should bring an Intel or AMD x86 based notebook with at least 1GB of memory and a wireless LAN adapter. To avoid problems with the Wireless card setup we strongly recommend that you run DAVIX in VMware Player or VMware Fusion in NAT mode.

Download the image from the servers below or look out for us on the convention floor. We will be wearing baseball caps where DAVIX is written on it. The DAVIX ISO image should be fetched before the workshop. Due to limited wireless speed and lacking on-site mirroring capacity, it is realistically impossible to download the image during the workshop!

To get ready for the workshop, configure DAVIX to run in VMware Player as set out in chapters 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 of the DAVIX manual. The document can be downloaded from: http://82.197.185.121/davix/release/...nual-1.0.1.pdf

If you have not got your DAVIX ISO yet, you have the chance to get it from me directly. I am currently sitting in the hangout area near the snack vendor. You can recognize me wearing a black base ball cap labeled DAVIX. I am going to stay here until 12:00 PM.
