He might not want to go, I but I definitely do. While I didn't have plans to go previously, I would consider going and have already looked at ticket prices just to see what they were. I might be able to swing air fair, but I am really strapped for cash and wouldn't be able to afford the pricey hotels. Even if I could afford a room, I doubt theres any left where the con is being held...

      For anyone that cares:

      http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...oard-shortcuts

A lot of these are duplicates, but some really good stuff in there. Probably the one thing I use the most is the autotext features, using something like #tsig for my full work signature, idk for I don't know, etc. Kinda like using sms text for speed, but still getting the full message across.

Anyway, I'm on my 9000 now and just heard that I might be getting the 9700 in a week or two, so Device Switch Wizard ftw!

I'm jealous. When I went from my Palm to my Blackberry, they told me I was SOL. I still dont have half of my contacts loaded into my new phone....

i would have to agree thats a good thing as far as security. While in H.D. Moore's class at blackhat DC we put up some fake ap's and had about 3-4 blackberry users in the local vicinity of the class room who had wifi running unknowingly connect to our AP's. Im thinking about buying one also as they are incredibly handy however the thought of rouge ap's gives me the ebie jeevies when considering any wifi device.

I actually like the Android based solution for remote wiping better than I did my 'berry's. It of course requires root, but when you set it off, holy crap does it go deep.

                  Re: BlackBerry Storm

Just wanted to make a retraction. Since I've had a little more time with my blackberry, I've come to fall in love with it. I like its functionality and all its awesome capabilities. Theres nothing like plugging in some head phones, starting up Pandora and talking a long walk with my phone. Also, the OS on my blackberry has been upgraded, and its IQ has since been raised exponentially. The epic fail I experienced with texting has been fixed and texts no longer pop up as they come in, but are streamlined and organized by author, just like with my previous palm.

Big thanks to Alx for all his help. : )
