Well, I know this must come as a shock, but I can't compete with my compadres from Mobile Disco this year or any other team for that matter. Conflicting gigs, and well https://www.har2009.org/ Hacking at Random is going on, and I can't really miss that. Maybe there's something remotely I can do, or well....

Of course I'm up for the contest, but I am not competing alone again this year (not that I was without help). It simply took too much of my time, and it was awful that I couldn't leave the material with someone while doing other things.
Plus, I didn't have diffusion of responsibility working in my favor when I did something stupid.
Oh, and I'll have those pages scanned for you soon, LosT. I shimmed the lock of an empty office at work and turned it into a Defcon mini-museum. When a KeyHolder discovered the cache, the Mystery content must have looked suspicious because it was moved elsewhere. Patience bore out, however, and the material was recovered.
You make it sound as though the contest is going distributed. It is in line with current game trends; set up simple rules, provide fun tools, and let the players create their own fun and content.
Eh, I'm probably reading too much into your words like the rest of us...
Hey Voltage Spike. I'm planning on making DefCon this year. I'm very much up for the LosT contest if you need a teammate. Maybe we can reunite the original mystery box team.
