Am I missing some sort of joke? The two quotes are identical. Or were you just talking about dropping the "Toxic BBQ:" prefix?
One includes double quotes suggesting citation from the movie, and the other one doesn't. It seems it was in-line with the movie previously mentioned by reference. (Idiocracy.) It is just as funny either way.

Somehow double posted, timed out and refreshed and it posted twice.
Still no design for the T-Shirts, I want to make them happen.. but I have limited artistic ability..
If you can produce the graphic, and its worthy of being printed, I will front you a few free shirts. It generally takes about a week to 2 weeks to get the graphics cleaned up, screened and printed.
Were only about 8 weeks from con.. so I need to get rolling on this.

i know that a number of people really wanted to get the Zelda-inspired design from last year once they got to see it. there were even a couple of difficulties with the design then... somehow the last line of "booze it" was changed to "add booze" (from an earlier idea that was floated) and also the "orange" color was eliminated, making the shirts only red/white.
i know that i (along with many others to whom i've spoken) would love a chance to get that shirt again with the remaining details ironed out. i've re-made the design in color-separated high-res again, this time using (what i feel is) a perfect match to the font Nintendo used in the original game.
the original game text...
the new design...
i've put up all necessary versions of the shirt on a new revised page here. i'm not trying to push hard or anything for a repeat of this design (since i like the variety each year) but just want to give an option since, as you say, we're getting shorter on time.
since last year's wasn't 100% what some folk had hoped due to last minute changes that you got hit with... this could be an option to consider. how would the three-color ink (as opposed to just red/white) affect pricing?
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want." - Trent Reznor

The shirts last year were done in 3 color process. There was orange. I just checked the one in my closet to make sure.
BTW, there are a few of last years shirts still available, I will have them at the BBQ.

awe, strange... mine somehow didn't look like that. in any case, if there is no other submission before the con (unlikely) i offer up that new update to the Zelda design as seen above.
