  • Pistol Poker

Since it was brought up; How many people are interested in playing pistol poker?

For those that don't know the rules they are rather simple:

You get 5 rounds to shoot at your target.
The target is a full deck of casino cards randomly placed on cardboard.
You get 1 minute to look at your target through a spotting scope.
You then get 1 minute to fire the 5 rounds. What you hit is your hand and you must cut the card for it to count. Oh, and no multi projectile ammo may be used. ie, no shot shells.
Target is 25 yds away. Should there be a tie, then start again, but at 50 yds.
You may use your own weapon, but you must use iron sights.

Scoring: Following the rules of poker... Best hand: Royal Flush. Worst hand: no hand.

I will have my XD40 there for use for those that don't have a pistol to use.

I need a count so that I can have the target ready on shoot day. Also mention if you need to use my pistol, so that I am certain to have enough Ammo. I will also allow anyone that needs to use my pistol 5 extra rounds at a different target to get used to my weapon.

Prize: I'll have prizes for the 3 best hands.

See you all at the shoot!!!

That sounds awesome. I'm going to do that next time I hit up the range.

If I were arriving earlier on Thursday I would definitely be out there at the shoot, but unfortunately I won't get in until Thursday evening.

I'll play, but only if it's run by a Vietnamese guy wearing a set of glasses with one colored and one clear lens.

I'm definately in, although I might be late to the shoot. What time were you planning on starting this?

Also, I'll only be bringing some rifles and my shotgun, as I don't own a pistol...so I'll need to borrow one.
Sometimes, thinking outside of the box just makes you homeless.

I just want to say thanks to all the participated in the Pistol Poker match. It was a lot of fun.

The winning hand was Ace high.

I will work on a better setup for next year and organize it a little better.
