Or you can just load some universal remote software for your palm PDA. I think this was how it was done.

last I knew the software was real fluky and only worked with a handful of devices... has this changed? jornada 720/strongarm supported?

Can't we just use one remote on every television?

A remote control, lock picks and alcohol, what a combination. This will surely be one heck of a con!

I hope Uncle Ira brings a catalog and a lot of stuff, the pages at http://www.meco.org/ load slowly and I really do want to see what is there to offer!

If you can dream it, there's a very good chance that Uncle Ira has it.

Speaking of which, I remember hearing that people had to take off their shoes to get through airport security because of the little metal strips in them. This raises the question of what security does for females with underwire bras? I'm gonna be pissed if I have to be strip searched with my friends waiting while an underpaid security guard is "just doing [his] job" (shyeah). I haven't flown since the US turned more fascist.

What does this have to do with pepper spray? Well, I'll let you figure it out.

Wouldn't under-pressure bottles explode in the cargo hold (or do they keep it pressurized)?

Octalpussy - I am glad I won't be the only one bringing Too Much Stuff. This my first time, so I'm likely to err on the side of generosity, though I don't think I have anything to bring ot trade (probably good ;). I am SO excited. :)

The luggage compartment is pressurized, they keep pets down there you know. Check the legalities of peper spray though, it varies all over.

As for the security in the airports now, it's amazing how idiotic the guards are. I have seen them search 6 year old kids and grandparents, even folks in military uniform and an off duty cop. Common sense does not prevail.

Then again have you seen the folks at airport security? I think their plan is to foil disasters by making the bad guys laugh themselves to death over their lack of training and caring.

Is there a problem with crossing state lines with picks in your checked luggage? I kinda wanted to check the laws before mail ordering something and having FED-ex deliver it personally (same with taking them across state lines). I've had bad luck finding info with web searches (I'm in Oregon). Of course, I could put them in my bra, but then we're back to that possible strip-search thing.

Oops, I forgot about that. :) I didn't realize there could be legal issues with pepper spray, I will check it out, along with the lock-pick possession.
