I've been using it as a loser way to keep an eye on how much activity the board has had since last visit/email.deletion. I jokingly mentioned to nulltone last night that I was probably gonna disable it from the mad posting that's been going on

I very much like the idea, I would say its more useful as an option, not as a default, I mean who really keeps it on? And if you do, then you can always select it when your starting your profile...
Honestly not that big of a deal, but id say overall its much better off by default.

Maybe the board can send ONE e-mail per thread and not send for that thread again until we have checked it?

I turned off the email reminder option, yet i still receive emails, what gives?

The box to send you email is actually at the bottom of the posting screen. What you set in options is it's default.

The posts you made with it turned on are all still set to send you email. You can go back an edit them if you want, I'm just waiting for mine to die out.
