    Yeah, that is one of the images I tried. It was the best resolution I found, but was not good enough. Even tried playing with contrast, colors and rotation of the image, but I still was not able to scan it.

    I'm guessing it is probably just a link to their website, or facebook or a sponsor or credits. Since I don't see any obvious ciphertext, I was hoping it might be a link to a puzzle, but if it is not, then assuming there is a puzzle, it is probably in software on the badge.

        The write-up said they tested the software on the iphone, and it sounded like the software is run using the controls on the badge. There is also mention of a dev environment for the badge, which would likely require a laptop, since I would expect most phones don't run with USB Host support, just as a USB client and setting up a dev environment to work on the different phones would probably be a nightmare.
