DEFCON Beard and Moustache Competition

So, whether or not it's officially sanctioned, there's going to be a beard and moustache competition at this year's DEFCON. Emceed by myself and featuring lead judge Jack Daniel we will be featuring the following categories and some prizes as well:


Unix Beard (Full Natural. Long & strong, no aides allowed)
Windows Admin (Moustache, aides allowed, suggestions include imperial, english moustache, etc)
Business End (Partial Beard - goatees, musketeer, etc. points may be granted for the trifecta - beard, overweight, & pony tail)
Gamer (Freestyle, anything goes)

Get a nod from one of the goons/staff in charge of space and approving contests/events, and let us know, then the next time I get direct word from them that this is a go, I can make a forum for this. (For example, would this be something on stage during or after presentations, or maybe use space on the contest floor or maybe in whatever replaces the skyboxes or maybe in a beat-up 70's style van with a bad paint-job and the words, "free kandy," scrawled on the side with spray-paint? Sorry the van is not a real option, as far as I know; it is meant to be an unrealistic humorous example.)

If/when that does happen, here is information I would want:
* Name of event/contest (as it would appear in the title of the forum)
* Short 1 or 2 sentence description of the contest or event for a forum description. Example: "A beard and mustache contest at Defcon: 4 classes, which is best?" The short description is supposed to give readers and idea what the contest is about without reading a full announcement for details. Your announcement could be a thread from within the forum.
* URL to a site page for this, if any. (I see you have one.)
* URL to a twitter account for people to follow with announcements about it (if any.)
* URL to a blog about this (if any)
* URL to a wiki about this (if any)
* A list of other forum users that would be helping you run this and be able to authoritatively answer questions that people might pose on the forums. (So that nobody tries to provide disinformation about the contest, and people know who to listen to when asking questions about the contest/event.)

Other people may ask for more information for the program, the web site, or for other resources, and it would be your responsibility to get your information to the people that need it before the deadlines they provide.

No okay from the goons or staff that control the resources at con for contests/events, and no forum; the forums follow their decisions.

By Odin's beard, I think this is an awesome idea. I would also suggest expanding your categories to also include a 'mountain man' and 'viking' class.

I don't know if another 6 months growth on my beard will be enough to compete, but I will be a most avid bystander.

What are the rules? My beard has a tendency to knot and molt.. resulting in a Rapunzel-effect. Is that cheating?
