  • DC:Shoot and DC:Reg+DC101?

I have tried to find the info, but it doesnt seem to forthcoming...

If DC registration opens at 8am on the Thursday, will there still be enough time after the shoot to get back and register? And how about DC101? I cant seem to find the DC19 101 start time, but have seen mentions of it starting at 1pm on previous occasions. As a DC Virgin, I really think I should attend that, but maybe not at the expense of attending the shoot.

Oh man, so much to do, not enough time already! :)

Good point, those long lines suck. Can shoot folks buy theirs in advance?

DC101 is one of the most valuable resources you have as a new attendee. I have been to Defcon a bunch of times and I have yet to leave DC101 without gaining valuable and interesting information. I would recommend not missing that event.

i'd suggest arriving at the Rotunda early, as planned, but some folk staying behind (and thus at the front of the Reg line) while some of your shooter group drives onward. then, around 08:30 or 09:00 when you have badges (for everyone in your group) you can come along, and shoot for the second hour.

could be a decent plan, perhaps... as long as TW and the rest of the folk are allowed to open up DEFCON Reg at exactly 08:00.
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."
