    Re: cailbre restrictions?

none, as far as i'm concerned. actually, i'm making a new rule...

anything larger than a 30.06 rifle, .50 handgun, or 12 gauge shotgun is perfectly fine as long as i get to send a few rounds downrange, you know to... uhm... determine that it's safe.

(seriously, let me know ammo costs and i'd love to shoot some 50 BMG or 10/8 gauge if someone is bringing it. 40mm would be just fucking amazing and i wholly support that, too.)

I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

that i will only consider after i've seen how it performs. i am confident that i could fire lead shot one-handed out of it, slugs... i am not as confident.

then again, doesn't the shorter barrel make the gas pressure actually less than a longer gun? of course, you are dealing with much less mass overall in the frame and barrel, and therefore less natural damping when the kick is developing. so maybe it's six of one, half-dozen of the other for the physics forces involved.

DO, check your email. :-) In this case you have less powder burned in the barrel, so when it comes out (6.5" later) it is still burning. With buckshot the fireball is rather impressive. I plan to bring a lot of bird shot since that is more manageable and folks won't be in wrists casts all weekend.

You can do one bird, one buck, and one slug since it is a 3-shot. ;-)

Hmm seems more expensive than a 50bmg, and less than a 20mm. Care to share what you plan on bringing? Maybe just the caliber?

416 barrett? Around here that goes for $6-8/round.

500 nitro express is usually closer to $5-6.

Those are the only things I can think of that even get close to $8 a pull...

                          You have me intrigued, sir.

My bet is I won't be the only on-site with a DD. No, not that, my girlie is a C. The question is, does orange chalk count as "environmentally friendly" debris?
