Verified. Skytalks (V) will be returning for DC20.
I check my sanity with a wristwatch. What do you check yours with, a dipstick?

Thanks man! I'll get to add that in the next batch of forum addition.

This post is a reminder to add, "Spot the Fed," because it is always a go. (I don't even have to ask.)

Regardless of what the AICC organizer thinks, AICC will not be returning to DEFCON this year nor will there be any event organized by that person.

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

Did it not go over well last year? I heard mixed reports as to where and when it would take place, etc. I didn't get to see it go down and now i'm even more curious what the end result was.
"I'll admit I had an OiNK account and frequented it quite often… What made OiNK a great place was that it was like the world's greatest record store… iTunes kind of feels like Sam Goody to me. I don't feel cool when I go there. I'm tired of seeing John Mayer's face pop up. I feel like I'm being hustled when I visit there, and I don't think their product is that great. DRM, low bit rate, etc... OiNK it existed because it filled a void of what people want."

Events happened. A discussion was had among people that control things, and a decison was made.
I was not part of the discussions for the decision, but can confirm what noid says is true, as true.
Feel free to ask others, or start a thread in /dev/random on this if you think people want to talk about it.
Because I was not part of the decision discussion last year, and my conversations with the people involved included implied privacy, I don't feel comfortable talking about the, "what," or, "why," only the results: it will not be coming back.

Both the "DC-Stuff" mailing list announcement I sent out, and the forum announcement here included comment about the AICC being mentioned in this thread, but also stated the AICC will not be returning.

Start a new thread or take your questions to PM people willing and able to comment on it if you need to know more. (It is better to not get your information second-hand, anyway.)

                  Back to topic:
This weekend, I will be rolling out forums for, "Hacker Karaoke," and, "Spot the Fed." Are there any other contests, events or social gatherings that should be added in this next round of adds?

I do not run this contest, and am not affiliated with it. The information provided here has been assembled from other sources.

Contests, events and social gatherings above this have been reviewed for forum creation.

The next round of additions follows:

Neil say Artwork Contest should return, but no new info yet. Once he has info, I can make a forum for it.

If I am able to make it this year I'll be doing the Wireless Village with one change. Instead of closing the Wireless Village for the Ham Exams, I'd like to keep it open and have whomever is doing the Ham exams do them in another location if possible.

A lot of people reached out to me about their disappointment in not having any contest or training on Sunday.

Should be able to firm up my attendance early next month.

HackerPyramid will be back - bigger and better (and even more awesome) with wildly* expanded game play and prizes for DC20.

*note: wild is not often good.
