This year is going to be a good one and I will have some big announcements later on once everything is confirmed. Time to start the planning. If the mini-talks are happening again this year, I can dig up an old and fun presentation I made in the past about finding hardware backdoors as opposed to breaking down the front door.

Welcome to the world of juggling DEFCON and work.

Okay here is the info as I have it now.

We will be open from 9 am til at least 9pm, maybe longer. I will be there all day as that's my defcon and what I do.

Here is what I expect from volunteers. HHV will be open pretty much 4 days. As we get closer I will make up a schedule where you can plan your time at the HHV to make your other events work. I would like at least two 4 hour shits and of course help with setup and tear down on last day as we have to bust ass to get it taken down before the closing ceremonies.

What will the volunteers be doing?

#1 keeping people from burning down the place
#2 keeping a eye on the defcon equipment
#3 helping direct people, answer questions and just being there to welcome people in.
#4 you are not there to build kits or engineer shit for people unless you choose to do that on your own
#5 have fun... its a fun place


Pretty simple. I will have more later as we get more and more details ironed out.
