Ride Sharing to the Shoot

Figured better early than late to organize ride sharing!

As for me...
Husband and I will have a rental car of some unknown type, and should have room for at least two people of any size and probably three average to small sized people if anyone wants to get a ride to and from the first evening shoot on Wednesday night. We aren't going to the other shoots so far as I know (that is to say we have not signed up for and paid for any others).

I too will be able to provide transport to the shoot, and will be attending both the Wednesday PM and Thursday AM sessions. Myself + one other will be in something like a rental Chevy Traverse, so plenty of room in the back for 2 or 3 people, plus some room in the trunk for gear (although there will be some other "things" in there already for the shoot! :) )

As always, there is no need to be concerned about grabbing a lift with a complete stranger who normally drives on the wrong side of the road so we can meet other people with guns in the middle of nowhere :)

I'll have two free seats at least in a rental car but I am not hanging around after noon when the shoot officially ends. No one has ever been stranded, have they?

I'd be interersted in a ride from a complete stranger to go out in the destert to shoot firearms... what could go wrong!? Seriously though, I'd be interested in a ride to and defintely from the shoot if anyone's willing. If its cool, let me know how to get in touch, I'll already be at the hotel - staying there for Black Hat.

The usual routine for ride sharing is to turn up at the Shoot meetup location in the Rio, and see who still has spaces available.

I am assuming that the meetup will be in the same place as the last two events at the Rio, at least for the Thursday morning session. Unsure what the procedure should be for Wednesday afternoon, but I will try to be in teh same place. Attendees assemble between the two sets of glass doors on the way down to the rotunda (see red arrow in image below), near the front of the queue for badges, and opposite the business center/phones. You really cant miss the people with large pelicases, aiming to misbehave :)



I will have the rental outside in the parking lot, so not very far to walk.

With the shoot location being about 50-60 minutes away (34 miles) from the Rio, and the checkin + safety briefing being about 20 mins, probably best to leave the Rio ~90 minutes before the sessions start. i`ll try to be at the usual meeting place at 4.30pm on Wednesday, and 8.30am on Thursday (although I may be a few minutes late leaving on Thursday).

Any ride sharing we can organize from BsidesLV on Wednesday? I will be there and probably can get from there to the Rio in time but would be be easier for those of us at Bsides if some ride sharing was available there. I am looking for a ride, hope someone at Bsides is driving to the shoot Weds. night, please PM me. Thanks.

I'm an RSO for Wednesday shoot and plan on arriving a few hours early(around noon) to help set up. I'll have room for 1-3 people to carpool with me. Thursday morning it should be the same situation. PM me if your in need of transportation to the shoot.

I will be going Thursday morning but MUST leave at noon. I have room for two more in my car.

Anyone who wants to kick in for gas/bullets/bail feel free to do so. In the last three drives out to the shoot I have learned something: Those from unfree countries are the best contributors to expenses!

I just want to double check what time I should be at the Rio to meet up and (attempt) to score a ride to the shoot on Wednesday. My flight gets in at 11:30, which (I think) should give me ample time to get to the Venetian, check in, eat and head over to the Rio.
