Yea, DOS was the good ol' days. I remember when DOS 5.0 came out, it was so sleek, 4.0 was a huge memory hog. Another hot thing was if you could free over 615k of ram out of your 640k, then you'd be totally 1337.
How about running CPM on an Epson QX-10? That was fun!
And if you ever drive out to Palm Springs, CA, you will see lots of windmills. Back in 1985 they were all hooked through an Atari 800! (That was a fun job)Comment

DOS WAS the good ol' days, when the OS actually let you mess with it instead of giving you limited control and made sure to ask if you were sure you wanted to do what you just did. But now that I think about it, I do like all the new fancy dancy colors.....oooooo.....aaahhhhh.....

windoze 95 (packard bell upgraded)
windoze 2000 pro (IBM TransNote & sony picture book)
as you can see, i spent the baby daze of DOS on apple machines...
so i dont miss it.

Did you ever play on the vic 20? my dad had the 64 and I got the vic 20. I remember some kids software that taught you how to program in basic. it was called Gork and the Microchips.Originally posted by KeLviN
