This is the first time in months that the IVU meeting has landed on the same day as a 2600 meeting, and that is just due to the times people can meet and the dates. The location is across the street from IVC its close enough to the 5 and 405 whichever you chose, the address is located on irvineunderground.org

Re: Point taken...
the whole OC2600 thing is uhm, they became their own little BS group in NOrth County. thats all. None of them care to even communicate to even their web admin, or even frequent the site like when it had an IRC server running for the whole group, only one or two of the original members would pop up on irc to talk.Originally posted by skroo
Something I haven't quite got a grasp on is whether the Irvine Underground meets have replaced or melded with OC2600... Hell, does OC2600 even meet anymore? I haven't heard from any of those people in nearly a year...
but , the whole "whats wrong with oc2600" is a discussion in itself. and if you wonder "whats right with oc2600", ther isn't much to say there.shit i dunno, i just work at the place.Comment

Again. Oh well. It actually went pretty well while resonate was running it, but then she moved away and I guess it went (back) to crap.Originally posted by lei

From everything I've been hearing, it's still pretty lame. Which is a pity, because the one thing a lot of the 2600 meetings have been working on is getting some good contact going between them. I don't like to speak ill of another meeting, but I've received email complaining about the conduct at their meetings - we're 60 miles away, but the assumption is that somehow L.A. 2600 is related to these idiots.but , the whole "whats wrong with oc2600" is a discussion in itself. and if you wonder "whats right with oc2600", ther isn't much to say there.Comment

yes, i will admit resonate basically held oc2600 together. without her, things fell apart, fast.Originally posted by skroo

that is amazing, because I have yet to receive a single email concerning how to help or 'whats up with oc2600' considering my email is the ONLY posted email on the oc2600 site. plus i run the site and get all emails going toward oc2600 domains ( my good deed. ) .

but maybe i should try harder with them... truth be told majority of non-BS oc2600ers are just afraid of starting out fresh at the LA meetings.shit i dunno, i just work at the place.Comment

Tell ya what... Drop me an email at info@la2600.org; we should speak further in private. Please make it obvious in the subject that I am the intended recipient.Originally posted by lei

Well, if y'all wanna head up, that's not a problem, but be very aware that there's a zero-tolerance policy for problem children at our meeting. Please make sure that the ones causing problems stay home that night.but maybe i should try harder with them... truth be told majority of non-BS oc2600ers are just afraid of starting out fresh at the LA meetings.Comment

Zanzibar Coffee & Tea
We're getting everything sorted for Feb. 7th's IVU meeting at Zanzibar location. We have the place secured for our use starting at 8pm. We will have food planned out also, surrounding our meeting location there are a few food choices but we do also have approval to bring in food to the location, so any suggestions in advanced would be great :) The location carries bawls and other caffeinated beverages such as coffee.
Attached is a photo of the store front - im sure there will be better ones to come shortly since the fog kinda kills the photo (:Comment

This is certainly the case, normally they would be closed by this time. It has been arranged to keep the hours we have declared open for our meet only. This way we can manage the sound, and its contents without having to worry about external entities (such as unwanted entities, background sound, weather, etc...). :) There should be plenty of outlets for those who want to bring toys along, after we get a feel for this environment we can better prepare it for future meets if so desired.Originally posted by KeLviN
you make it sound like we're going to be the only ones allowed in there after 8. is this true or is it my immagination?Comment

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Point taken...
do you know what i look like? and i don't stay the whole meeting, i showup halfway through phillipe's, then only stay at denny's until just before 1am, everytime i've been there my alarm goes off on my phon etwice and then i get up and passivly leave the meeting, I always felt like it was rude, but i'm not going to interrupt eveyone to annouce myself elaving, or entering. so i just come and get a few chit chats in before i leave.Originally posted by skroo
