Hello!
I am new to Defcon in that I have never gone. This year I attended the Grace Hopper Celebration but next year I want to go to both Defcon and GHC. Obviously I am female so it would be great to connect with other women who attend Defcon. I am currently a student pursuing a bachelors of science in Computer Science and Software Engineering. I have always been interested in hacking and want to learn more . I will also be doing research with one of my professors on mobile security ( specific topic has not been chosen yet ). So hello :D

It is hard to explain the experience. It is like showing up to a very large party with friends who have the same interest. Not only will you unequivocally learn a tremendous about of things (all the thingz ! ) at DC, but it is more about the people you meet. I would advise running around Defcon with the same enthusiasm as Jack in the Nightmare Before Christmas screaming "What's this? What's this?". Ask questions. Get involved. Bring a Goon a beer. Hope to see you there!

Boss suddenly told me to get a plane ticket and hotel room. I was to go to defcon. My reaction to all this? I don't even know where to start. I was completely lost the first day. Now it's Sunday and feel like an old pro. Presentations were great. See you next year
