You can pick up the data cable off of ebay for $10-15 easy. To the best of my knowledge the Venture and up come with the cable.

fyi, these being sold off eBay work quite nicely... a search for 'etrex 12v' will probably yield for even better prices too... (this was just the first item that was ending now, but this is what I have) if your gonna get a data cable seperately, I highly suggest this...if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.Comment

the legend comes with a data cable, that is the one I have... though i still bought a car-adapter+data cable combo for 50 bux... so you may be better off getting the basic and just buying the bundled car cable ... depending if you are going to do more wardriving than warwalking :)Originally posted by EeeekPenguins
Hey Chris does the Legend come with the data cable? or would I have to purchase the data cable with all of them?
PC interface cable with cigarette lighter
This cable allows you to make a powerful connection between your GPS and your PC. Create routes and waypoints on your PC and transfer them to your GPS. You can also download map detail from MapSource CD-ROMs to compatible units. Cable features a standard 9-pin D connector. Connects to any 12-volt receptacle.

... and if you are hardcore you could get the garmin gps sucition cup mounting bracket... though garmin doesn't seem to sell the single gps mount *anymore*, but you can usually find them at sporting good stores... around 30 bux... but if you want to have both a pda and gps on a suction like my rig you can get (*THOUGH I DO NOT RECOMMEND ... ARKON AT ALL, THE FUCKED ME OVER A COUPLE OF TIMES WITH THIS CHEAPLY MADE MODEL*)
Dual Function PDA / Phone Mount Kit
Model CM424
Features the 9" super strong windshield pedestal and allows users to mount both the Compaq iPAQ and any portable cellular phone at the same time or by themselves. For best results, we strongly suggest resting the pedestal on the dash of the vehicle.

It is nice to see someone take the advice, instead of getting bitter. It the thrill of the information search that gets me going.Originally posted by EeeekPenguins

I dont see why people get bitter about things, when people like blackwave, octalpussy, Chris, Kelvin..etc etc, are obviously smarter about the topic(s) at hand. Just gotta lurk and listen to the smart people.Originally posted by ck3k
