Ride share thread - Camp out/Staff

Hello! Me and a friend, we need a ride back on Thursday. If you still have room for 2 more people we would appreciate your help, and we can probably help with gas.

Priority goes to those I being out there but if I go out alone I will give you the shot at the seats going back. You can't miss me, I'll have the double barrel 45 pistol.

Hey, this is my first Defcon and I just saw this page for Defcon Shoot which looks like a great way to kick off the events! I'm arriving at LAS around 2:30pm on Wednesday and am staying at Bally's (also first time in Vegas). I would love to get a ride back and forth with someone on Wednesday, I'd be happy to split the costs for the ride and/or share some ammo and guns (Glock and Kimber- both 9mm).

If anyone's carpooling or could otherwise provide travel from Mandaly, Trop, Luxor, etc. (or any other hotel on the strip) on the 4th let me know. If I can get transport to the shoot location I'll bring some of my toys with me.

one benefit is that it's so close to the city (just up north, take Decatur out of town basically) that Ubers and cabs will take you there, pick you up, etc. i did that ride twice today. not bad at all.

to everyone who is praising/thanking me... honestly, direct all that to:

1. Quiet - without him and his forum post we'd never have known and the event would have been fucked in the ass, total money loss, etc

2. Merlin - my best local out here in terms of knowledge of the region, advice on where to turn, etc

3. seeess - #3 on the list but #1 in terms of getting shit done. for real, people, i was at HOPE where i spoke 3 times and ran all kinds of shit and then i was basically in the air for 48 hours (to Montana, repack, sleep a few hours, then flights to Vegas as soon as i could get out here) and during that time he was a monster of research. we both made calls and emails to some new options, but it was seeess who really did the heavy lifting and laid the groundwork so i could simply just follow-up with places. he contacted local officials about the fire warning, permit process, etc. he and i triaged options of local other ranges, ultimately with him putting a temporary reservation on the spot where we decided to wind up. he and the others deserve all the credit. i'm just a guy who throws money at the problem and is trying to rent some big-ass cooling fans.

I'll be arriving in vegas Sunday and hanging around for a few days. Probably trying to get some ammo runs in before Wednesday. Then looking at an uber/taxi. If anyone wants to tag along on any of this let me know and we can meet up. This is my first DC shoot!
