If I recall correctly it was Shipley and/or the DOC crew

Guinness deserves separate billing. It's got its own thing going on. While I like other beers just fine, they don't make me sing "The Wild Rover" or give me the strength of 20 men.

Guinness is ok, a little watered down. Redhook used to make Double Black Stout with Starbuck's coffee. mmmmm Very Nice!! Can't find it anymore :( Sierra Nevada Porter is good too!!

Guinness is beer like a Hummer's a car. When you do the usual, everyday stuff, beer is fine. When you want higher performance, there's stout

That was a temporary thing. They havent made the double black in a while now. If you're looking for a good thick dark beer give Black Butte Porter by Deschutes Brewing a try. You're in ID, you should be able to find it no problem. I've been a big fan of Mac 'n Jacks porter for a while too. And Haystack Black by Portland Brewing is always a treat too..

Hey Dataworm..I'm still willing to bring you some good NW beers if you're gonna bring me some of Canadia's finest (I'm hurting to try that Trois Pistoles stuff)

I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

If I might make a suggestion, If you've got a favorite beer, bring a couple extras too the Forums meeting for some trading/sampling. I'll bring a few bottles of my favorite microbrews for trade with others if anyone else is up for it? (Not that I don't plan on sharing anyways)

I miss Spaten Dark. It's so thick, it's like a cross between Aunt Jemima's and 40 weight.

Can you buy Arrogant Bastard Ale in Vegas? I've not been able to pick any up back east, but the name's just too good for me not to try it.

Besides, given the name, it might be an appropriate beverage for me--and many others here. ;-)

Well, Stone Brewing is based out of San Diego, so their stuff is available all over the west. You shouldnt have any trouble finding it if you hit a grocery store or a beer store.

Arrogant Bastard is a mighty fine brew. Also of note in these parts are Old Scratch and Dead Dog Ale. I don't know how widely any of those are distributed, but most good socal liquor stores carry them.
