I am am speaking at the con as well (accually right before you are, in same room) but would like to bid, simply for the entertaining factor!

How about these choices:

1 IBM Modle 80 386 /w upgraded CPU (16 mhz to 20mhz, wow!) 16megs of ram, 1 gig of hdd space across 2 SCSI HDD's. It has old skool Micro Channel board with upgraded video (quazy pre AGP slot with 512k mem video!) It has win 3.11 with 6.22 DOS and lots of "pic's" old video games (AD&D ALL OF THEM!!) original Duke Nukem' series, wolf 3d, etc. Ask about all the extra crap it has.

and

Box of Micro Channel parts (5 nic's, mem exp bords, video cards, token ring)

or

1 Origianal Napster T-Shirt preserved in original wrapping, this is an offical shirt, not a knock off. Since it is in origial wrapping, it has never been worn, srunk, faded. I got it in the Dove Bid acution before they went bust.

An unhealthy amount VHS "Stuff" were talkin' 25+ video's, don't ask :)


I got some other stuff, but it's more along the cheese road (Cyrix CPU, edo memory, ESDI HDD, etc)

While I am speaking, and I do get a badge all for me's it would be nice to say "I stuff'ed some cool sh*t for a con badge" it would go to one of my "moochers" taging along that I'm payin for anyways.

Okay, I have nothing to bid really but I figured I'd ask. Even tho I run the California Caravan I plan on paying - mostly because work is covering my expenses - but JTX [The guy who has spent a whole lot of time coding The Defcon Note Exchange and a participant in both last year and this year's Cannonball Run] is running tight on funds and may not be able to throw down the cheddar for a badge. If I could get away with paying for him, I would, but unfortunatley I don't have too much wiggle room in my budget to cover him.

I know there's nothing to trade involved, and me asking for him either sounds a bit dubious or stupid but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thanks for your time.

How about some stuff from Good Old Chicago?

I have an official "Cook County Sheriff" patch. This is the genunie patch on their shirts in the Chicagoland area. Having this on your dash will get you out of traffic/speeding tickets (think of it as a free pass). The only way to get one of these is to be a sheriff, or having one in your family, or in my case having a friend who is one.

I also have a "NBA Championship" Starter baseball cap. This is the baseball hat to commerate the Chicago Bulls when Michael Jordan was on then. It commerates their 6 championship wins '92, '93, '94, '96, '97 and '98. It looks like the Bulls won't be adding on to that list anytime soon. This hat still has it's tags and hologram on it, never used.

The "Cook County Sheriff" patch you can't buy, and the Bulls NBA Championships" baseball hat is a collector's item.

Let me know since I fly out tomorrow (using mileage since I can't afford the flight) :D
