I go with the theory that all the Cons (labeled ***con) have two parts to the word. The last part of which is short for "consumption" and doesn't necessarily have to be associated with the first part...

I'm gonna have to go with OP on this one. One of the things thats nice about Toorcon is that it hasnt devolved into a high school kegger. Looks like lots of people are gonna attend this year, which is nice, the Toorcon folks have been due for a win for a few years now. It'll be a shame if it just ends up turning into a frat party.

After talking with some of the guys organizing it, I feel pretty good that it won't be complete Rumfest. It looks like there are organized "networking" gatherings for people to get together at instead room sponsored parties. This will probably successfully stop the "Friday night barhopping" atmosphere that Defcon has.
I believe one of "Top Ten reasons to Attend Toorcon" shirts seen at Defcon said:
