Last night there was a raccoon running up the tree, I shot it and it ran back down the tree...to two of his buddies at the bottom! Three of them in a big raccoon pile! Damn this single shot rifle!
So I got online and ordered a BB machine gun right then and there.
Then I went back out and the raccoons were gone, but there were a few bears. I shot at them until they dispersed, they freeload on my trash cans! (got it on video too)
Daughter will be in town Dec 20-28, she was at pool #2 at Defcon and wants so bad to attend CoonCon! Holiday time like that may be a bad time for folks. I hope to nail down a date in the next few days. PM me with ideas.

Jeeezus, bears scare the shit out of me. Especially ones that are used to people.
I was in Taos a couple of years ago when the big story was a bear reaching through the kitchen window of a grandmotherly type, pulling her out the window, then mauling her to death.
In college I did summer hires for the forest service just south of Jellystone in the Bridger-Tetons. That's where they would release the problem bears from Jellystone. Nothing like waking up to the sounds of the crewcab door ripped off its hinges because one of your bunkies left their lunch in the truck. I've had my fill of bears hooked on human food.
I don't mind the critters living in their home, but they are trying to live in MY home! (Just bought a home that was vacant since it was built in 1991). Hmmm, maybe I can electrify the fence, I like that idea....
Right after the first snow you can see all their tracks in the ground, and their paths are very obvious. I am not expecting snow until Feb and it runs to about May.
Well let's shoot for the Friday evening, Dec 26, though Sunday the 28th. You still have time to ask Santa for a Crossbow for Christmas. :D I got a Barret crossbow for half price at Big5 yesterday. :p
