          I had a couple of R505s issued to me, but they kept on breaking and the keyboard was really crappy. I moaned and bitched and whined until they let me have my ThinkPad T21s back, much heavier but 100x more durable.

          Do you need to take extra care with this Sony or can you throw a couple of them into a backpack and not worry about it?

              i have had nothing but success with sony hardware. at school i usually carry it around in my pocket.

                        I had a Vaio F Series, it was a great little notebook. The only thing that I would complain about is that no matter what OS I loaded on there, the boot time was slow as hell. How is yours working?

                              the boot time is actually faster than any laptop i've compared it to. i run it against my friends vaio, and it is up faster, and he has the same os w/ a faster processor.

                              remember, there's alot you can personaly do to speed up/ slow down your boot times.
