          I like ircII and xchat, I use mirc under windows cause it works, it is bright and happy...but oh well...whatever does the job best.

            Sorry about that. I was looking to see what Win32 irc clients people liked. Should have mentioned that. Theres a ton of great irc clients for *nix though.

                  A unix client I am starting to dig on is naim's nirc plugin...it works, and since the console is mighter then the gui...it wins

                    irssi is all use, i the past all i ever used was BitchX ...both are pretty good.

                              My mirc is fairly pimpe dout with my color tweeks, backgrounds, transparentcies, etc. I've been running it in it's config since '99 and have no plans to change. All my sessions have specific backgrounds, as well as many sers wen the /msg me. I us eteh visuals to denote sessions, servers, etc.

                              I've also got sound scemes for various alerts and such. There's a lot of customization you cn do with mirc itself, if you dig a bit.

                              My only issues: No multi-server simultanious sessions (gotta spawn a seperaste mirc session for each server)

                              I've used trillian for irc, and i've found a few problems, like some servers detect it as a web-tv client and reject it, or it's misser certain parameters for ident that a server may want.
