Or a 2 dollar bill (yes kids, there was such a thing). I had a friend have a 'whos on first' type experience with a Burger King employee, the manager, a security guard, and himself while trying to buy food with one..Originally posted by astcellTry passing a Susan B. As someone from a country with monopoly colored money, I resemble that remake CK, careful :)
Up here our money is all sorts of colors, and forgery is a problem most definatly, but as the article states, it was detected because of the new features. Had it been a traditional greenback, it would have likely passed mustard.
Welcome to the rest of the world America, Monochromatic currency is easy to copy. Try living in a country with a coin $1 and $2 denominations, it's insane.Last edited by renderman; October 30, 2003, 10:16.Never drink anything larger than your head!

Haven't seen one of those in circulation for a while... people generally grab onto them and keep them as keepsakes... but out of oddity, I did receive one the other night from a customer. She _was_ one of our *older* customers however.Originally posted by noidOr a 2 dollar billif it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud; and I'm gonna go there free.Comment

Heh...it would cost more to send than its worth...I was going to convert the little bit that I had left over from a recent trip back to American dollars...wasn't worth the time for the $1.00 that I'd end up getting back.Originally posted by ck3kI apologize for capping on canadian money....maybe as an act of good faith you could send me some? :DYou're either on my side or else you're in the way.Comment

Uh... The last run of $2 bills was in 1995. The first ones were in 1976 for the bicentennial celebration, but they're still in current circulation.Originally posted by ck3kthe bottom of the barrel fast food employees should not be used to decide if we youngins are smart.....I got some 2 dollar bills, I notice some older folk still dont know what they are, cause they have been out of circulation for so long.
I seem to remember that there were also red and blue $2 bills, however. This may be my failing memory, but it would mean that the new $20 is not the first non-greenback in circulation. Anyone else remember this? I'd really rather not think that I'm hallucinating the episode.Comment
