    ok enought about my rambling.
    must have missed that, but as far as it goes, i read the books, and this was just merely a taste for the EE course I buy both, god they must have all my money now....lets see here

    Fellowship=10=20+80=110
    Two Towers=10+20+80=110
    ROTK=10+20+80=110

    10 for the ticket to the movie at a theater
    20 for the theatrical dvd
    80 for the EE+figure

    330 bucks thus far off of me....a good take for a trilogy

        The Hobbit

        I just wonder why they didn't take time to make a movie about 'The Hobbit' thats the book before LOTR and its in those adventures that the ring is found

        seems they made the same mistake as they did with star wars 20 years ago

          I guess they're now talking to Peter Jackson about doing the Hobbit, but ya, they should have done it first. One nice thing is that you dont have to really read The Hobbit to understand the Lord of the Rings, its ment more as a prequel than anything. So I guess they didnt do it since its a stand-alone book.

          Now the biggest thing I like about all this is that it helped keep Peter Jackson's old films in circulation. If you haven't seen Dead Alive or Bad Taste, you're missing out. Its hard to think that the man who brought us LoTR also brought us a movie about space corporations setting up shop on Earth to harvest humans to use as their newest menu item at a galactic fast food chain. Or a movie that features an undead priest trying to fuck the main characters undead mother. Quality film for those into low budget gore flicks.

          I return whatever i wish . Its called FREEDOWM OF RANDOMNESS IN A HECK . CLUSTERED DEFEATED CORn FORUM . Welcome to me

            Has anyone confirmed this? I am still holding off..

            Peter Jackson was an odd choice to pilot a movie of this magnitude, I do feel he did a way better job, he is comming from the hobbyist movie background, not the pump out movices like clockwork thing. He must be in shock tho, going from making low budget gore movies, to one of the biggest movie projects ever.

                Hindsight is always 20/20. From a Marketing Perspective and what they wanted to do exactly, it made more sense to do it the way they did. There is nothing that says The Hobbit would have been so well recepted by audiences. Plus, LOTR was an Epic Saga, The Hobbit wouldn't have had the same appeal to everyone being as how many view it as a childrens book. In my opinion, they did the filming sequence correctly.
