quick suggestion. name the file "whatever.jpg.vbs" (the .vbs should already have been there). then simply open up explorer and go to tools->folder options->view and make sure the box that says "hide file extensions for known file types" is checked off. the only problem with this is the file will appear to be a .vbs in every other way except the file extension (and maybe the icon as well should you decide to change it). it will only work on systems that have that option enabled. this is just one of the reasons i love *nix heh....

I have to agree that it would work, till you run across antivirus software that is lame and looks at extensions and flags *.jpg.vbs as a loveletter or SST variant, then deletes them without warning. Spreading anything through a file sharing network wont work either, many of the new clients ignore multiple extensions like that, just so people dont get infected.

I too am quite curious as to why you won't divulge what it does Abdus, so I'll take this time to convey my thoughts into plain english:

A) if its malicious, you're not getting help from me
B) if you're hiding 200GB of donkey pr0n from your wife/mob/whoever, you're a sick and sad fuck

An answer requires intel gathering, and those of us who post here(from what I have seen to this point) have enough common sense not to give a detailed layout of how to help a virus proliferate. Well, a nice program for stenography would be...uh, i think its called Butter Fly, anywho its free-ware and it comes with teh book.

"Steal This Computer Book 2" author Wallace Wang. Tons of programs. Free-ware, Share-ware, trial. The program works well. The books sold at Barnes and Nobles. A real nice GUI, user freindly.
