ok, has everyone seen the insides of the g5? no matter how much you hate macs, it is just "Clean" there is no other words to discribe it, now if you just got a blank g5 case and did this, I would find it ammusing, but to thorw away all that beautiful hardware is just lame. I woulda just put linux on it.

this case mod is the equivalent of being given a ferrari for you birthday, but not being able to drive a stickshift, so you rip out the ferrari engine and transmission and replace it with the stuff from and '92 Honda Civic.

So what happened?

I got a free G5 shell from a buddy of mine and pulled a prank on a Mac loving friend. He got so upset. I wrote up a little story, my imagination and warped sense of humor kicked in. I sent it to OC.com just to see the reaction. I honestly didn't think it was going to be posted. I cannot believe how fast or how far it has spread on the internet. There are an amazing number of people who are emotionally attached to inanimate objects such as computers. Mac fans seem to be much worse that I ever expected. The G5 is amazing, I would never dream of really doing that ;)

Guys Guys, Ive read the article on Overclockers.Com. He DOES SAY that this was a joke, he never took his G5 to bits, he loves Macs. He got a case FREE from a friend, and wanted to wind up his Apple loving mate. It worked. It then got spread across the 'Net and now everyones commenting on it. It does mention this at the top of the article..!
