I make a really good Drunken BBQ Sauce that goes well with almost everything.

    I also make a really kick-ass potato salad! :D

maybe someone should email blackbeetle since it seems that blackbeetle is the defcon liaison with the alexis park to see if they'd let us cook steaks on the property. Maybe they have a gas grill they could wheel outside for us to use.

          hmm, desert trip!

i think it'd be badass to go have a little cookout or whatever somewhere in the nearby mountains, that'd be pretty fuckin cool. are there any cool parks or something around? lake mead? if needed, getting one of those busses! hahaha. i know if i'd go, i'll be drinkin like fuck, aint too worried about driving around though, the only thing you could run into is sand? haha.
          just a lame thought!

Will you have to assemble it too?

hahahah I really don't think cold drinks would be of shortage at such an event... seriously.. defcon and bbq at the same location AND suddenly going prohibition style? /me wipes forehead and looks around

All aboard for BBQ, maybe this little event could be held in a back parking lot away from the AP. They could section of an area and move out tables lawn chairs, etc...

BBQ squirrel is 'sum good eatins.

                      Rain

Not to rain on everyone's parade and enthusiasm but at this point, any plans for a BBQ should be planned for off-AP grounds. I have not spoken to the hotel about this since I do not want then to become *overly* vigilant about an activity that is likely to be frowned upon by the fire marshal.

If the fire marshal worries about BBQs, I'd hate to have his job on July 4th.

As far as the hotel's concerns, I imagine that you may cook on your balcony in your room and just not in a public access area.

I guess that means slaughtering the pig and calf onsite is probably a no-go too.

A forum meet and bbq may be nice, If anyone gets a room with a balcony, or if any rooms have a balcony. I think the ap should be a little forgiving to the only source of income they get each year.

this actually sounds pretty sweet, and heck, it'd be cool if there was goon participation if possible, because I tell ya, that Grifter makes a hell of a hamburger. :)

Well hell. I'd even pay for a steak if they cooked it. They're suppose to have gourmet dining and all we get is pizza and sandwiches... Get one of those employees with a chef hat to cook them steaks up if they have concerns about random drunk hacker types manning an outdoor grill.
