You may be thinking of gaspricewatch.com.

I filled up for $1.99 last night, the prices are coming down, or so it feels.
Still at $2.09 at the cheapest Chevron close to my place for 87-octane. Arco's a bit lower, but I've always had bad luck with their gas.

Looking like it'll be close to $3 BY AUG in SoCal. Watching the prices rise over the last few days. Crude is up to $30 a barrel -

ASCell: I can remember filling my roadrunner for $.35 a gallon

        Thread split

I just split this thread over to /dev/null because the SUV topic was getting really retarded. Comments on gas prices here, unresearched opinions there.

It's only going to get higher. Hotter weather, more war, more travelling, more air traffic, it's inevitable.

Would it not get higher because of inflation or supply and demand? Milk is terribly expensive compared to gas but no one complains about that.

One nice thing about gas prices being over $2.00/gal. All the crappy cars are off the road. :D

Naw, not around here. I got stuck behind the '86 Tercel of Doom this morning on the way to work. Damn thing could barely do 58 and probably didn't have enough brakes to get it back down to 0.

Besides, when gas is this expensive you can't afford to replace your car if you're driving something like that. You've got enough problems trying to keep it filled so you can get to work.

I think you met my brother. :p Let's assume gas hits $4/gal before the end of the year, just for giggles, post some of the effects you may expect.

Inflation hits everything. Can you think of prices that have gone down?

                        Gas prices...

Ah a beautiful day here in Alta Coma(nothing ever happens), California. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and my 1990 Firebird is chugging gas like a mo' fucker. 2.55 per gallon. *vomit* I'll be driving to Defcon in this money eating machine so if anyone would like a ride in exchange for gas money let me know.

                          Gaming consoles.

                          Inflation does affect everything though.

And the prices on crack (location dependant).

Oh, gas is now down to $0.94 here in Colorado Springs at a few locations, but it is only good for today (June 7, 2004)

*I guess two of our local radio stations are having a taken over and as part of it you can fill up for 94 cents a gallon at one of the Shell Stations and another gas station that I'm not sure of.*

petroleum is unbelievably elastic. that 94 cent deal is insane!
