Pre-selection of speakers

Bruce Schneier is a sorely missed personality around DC imo. but it isn't hard to understand why. May 20th=Washington,DC, May 26th=Tacoma WA, June 2nd=Oslo, Norway...the man is busy folks.

Thanks for the info all. I was wondering if something had happened at the con one year to cause him to not want to return; he had been at DC for sooo many years in a row, and then suddenly bam! Gone. In his last year (or some years before his last visit) He stayed for a while and was actually part of 2 or 3 presentations. In my favorite of these, he had no planned presentation. He came in, and sat on a table on the front of the room and said, "OK! Who has questions!" No introductions, no special fanfare, just right to the point; if you didn't know who he was, then that was your own tough luck.

It sounds like it is just a matter of time, and him having other commitments.
